"My work begins where everything is at stake for my clients. I run the proceedings, they get their head back."
Since 2010 I have defended entrepreneurs, executives and companies, often in the most difficult moments of their lives. What my clients tell me again and again: they can hand a large part of the burden of the proceedings over to me. They can breathe again, sleep again and get on with their lives, even when a case runs for a long time.
My legal home is white-collar and tax criminal law, export-control and customs criminal law, and proceedings of the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO). My China desk is focused above all on anti-dumping duties: I previously defended numerous cases involving the circumvention of the European anti-dumping duties on solar modules manufactured in China, today the same subject arises with e-bikes, steel and other product groups. Added to this is a focus on the automotive sector; I handle mandates with an international and industrial dimension.
I understand how investigating authorities think, and I run proceedings rather than endure them. Discretion, to me, is not a promise but a working principle. Whoever instructs me works with me, not with an apparatus.
