I advise and defend across the full spectrum of business criminal law. This includes, among others, allegations of fraud, breach of trust, tax evasion, insolvency offences, market manipulation and money-laundering-related issues. A particular focus of my practice lies in customs and foreign trade criminal proceedings, especially cases involving violations of the German Foreign Trade and Payments Act (AWG) and related regulations.
I also increasingly represent clients in cross-border investigations conducted by the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO). These proceedings are typically highly complex, combining national criminal law with European jurisdictional structures and internationally connected economic facts. Effective defence in such cases requires not only doctrinal precision, but also strategic coordination at an international level.

For more than ten years, a particular focus of my work has been advising and defending Chinese companies and entrepreneurs with connections to Germany and Europe. These mandates are not a separate niche, but a reflection of my business criminal law expertise in an international context.
I regularly advise clients on site in China and support companies seeking to enter the German market with their products, business models or investments. The focus lies on compliance, anti-money-laundering (AML) requirements and the avoidance of criminal liability risks under German and European law – especially at the intersection of customs law, foreign trade law and criminal law.
Chinese clients in particular value personal, continuous support and a legal advisor who not only understands German criminal law, but also economic realities and cultural specifics.
