Specialist lawyer for criminal law
My career as a criminal defence lawyer began in 2010 with Eberhard Kempf, one of the most renowned defence lawyers in Germany. By his side, I did not only have the opportunity to learn the wonderful profession of a criminal defence lawyer in white-collar criminal cases intensively and in great detail, but also gained insights into large and well-known white-collar criminal cases from the very beginning.
After instructive years, it was time to go my own way in 2015. In self-employment, I wanted to interpret the profession of criminal defence lawyer in my own way. To this end, I founded the office Dannenfeldt & Rumpf Rechtsanwälte together with colleague Eva Dannenfeldt and was able to establish it on the market in six successful years and further expand my expertise.
The mandates became more diverse, international and always brought new, exciting facets. For example, in the last six years I have advised and defended many clients from China in their very individual challenges with the German investigative authorities - partly in Germany, partly in China.
Regardless of whether my clients are active in the solar industry, real estate, gastronomy or trade, they always appreciate my individual, flexible and tailor-made advices. They also attest to my ability to listen and to approach their situation with a high degree of empathy. I enjoy listening because it is the stories and the people behind these stories that make my profession so interesting, colorful and unique.
The only constant in life is change.
Since standing still is never an option and further development is essential in criminal law, I am now taking the next step.
My founding partner Florian Schmidt-Tüshaus and I have known each other since 2012. Our professional paths have crossed again and again and we have always followed each other's development steps. We are therefore convinced that we complement each other in the best way. Our mission is to run a strong office that always and everywhere works for the benefit of our clients and defends their rights.
At Rumpf & Schmidt-Tüshaus, in addition to sophisticated internal and external communication structures, we also use the most modern and secure technology, which takes cooperation with our clients to a new level. This makes us efficient, solution-oriented and always close to the needs of our clients!

Specialist lawyer for criminal law
I have been working as a criminal defence lawyer for almost 15 years now, and in this long time I have been able to learn and experience a lot that has shaped me and the way I work today.
I laid the foundations for my work as a criminal defence lawyer and as a criminal law consultant much earlier. The first choices I made during my studies in Constance always revolved around the area of criminal law. During my subsequent legal clerkship, I proceeded in the same way and always chose my stations with a criminal law orientation. I worked for a renowned defence lawyer who operated nationwide in capital offence cases, as well as for one of Germany's leading white-collar criminal lawyers.
I then gained my first professional and forensic experience as a defence lawyer in Heidelberg, first in the area of general criminal law, then in the area of commercial and tax criminal law. Via another station in Munich, my path finally led me to Frankfurt am Main, where I have been living and working since 2013.
Here I was able to deepen and consolidate my knowledge and experience, especially during my work for the law firm Dr. iur. Felix Dörr & Kollegen and later as a local partner at Tsambikakis Rechtsanwälte, and to distinguish myself professionally.
It is now the right time to take a further step and establish my own law firm as a criminal defence lawyer. I would like to do this with my founding partner Alexander Rumpf, whom I have known for years and whose professional career I have followed since that time. In the past, we have worked together successfully in various places - admittedly still operating from different units - which has now brought us together. We are convinced that we complement each other and can form a strong unit.
On 1st of September 2021 we therefore founded the law firm Rumpf & Schmidt-Tüshaus Part mbB, which specialises in criminal law.
In addition to my work as a lawyer and specialist lawyer for criminal law, I work as an external legal ombudsman for international industrial companies. Furthermore I am a member of various professional associations of lawyers and defence lawyers practising criminal law. I publish in professional journals and comment in an established commentary on criminal tax law.

Specialist lawyer for criminal law
I was fascinated by criminal law from an early age. Already during my studies at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain, I chose to focus on criminal law. I completed my legal traineeship in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Frankfurt am Main, including stations at a renowned criminal law firm in Berlin, at the German Embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as well as at a criminal law boutique in Frankfurt am Main with a focus on commercial and tax criminal law.
Since my admission to the bar in 2017, I have been working exclusively in the field of criminal law. My areas of practice include general criminal law and ancillary criminal law. I advise, accompany and defend my clients from preventive counselling, through the criminal investigation, intermediate and main proceedings. I am also at their side during the execution of the sentence and defend them, their rights and their freedom. For the defence, I draw on my experience in business and tax law proceedings as well as in jury trials.
Due to my continuous further training and my practical experience in the field of criminal law, I have been awarded the title of "Specialist Lawyer for Criminal Law" by the Frankfurt am Main Bar Association.
With tactical sensitivity for the procedural situation, I always act to the advantage of my clients. Creative, dynamic and oriented towards the uniqueness of their case, I develop analytical and strategically well thought-out solutions with them. It goes without saying that I am the contact person for relatives or authorised representatives if, for example, communication should be difficult as a result of pre-trial detention.
Due to my many years of experience abroad and my training in Spanish criminal law, I also advise my clients in Spanish.
